Hair Length

The specified hair length on training heads can sometimes be misleading, as different suppliers use different measurement methods. Using diagrams, we present the 3 most common methods worldwide:

1. In the first method, length is measured from the front hairline over the crown to the nape.
2. In the second method, length is measured from the crown down to the longest tip in natural fall.
3. In the third method, actual lengths at multiple head points are recorded. The final value refers to the longest hair and is measured at a 90° angle.

How do we measure hair length?
We use both method 2 and method 3 to ensure transparency. We always indicate the method used and provide total or detailed lengths. Diagrams clearly show the structure and length positioning across the head.

Hair Color

We follow internationally recognized hairdressing color codes.
Our training heads are available in the following shades:

• Black (tone 1)
• Dark Brown (tone 2)
• Medium Brown (tone 5)
• Dark Blonde (tone 7)
• Golden Blonde (tone 9)
• Light Blonde (tone 11)
• Grey
• White

Hair Density

Density refers to the number of hair implantation holes per cm². To meet different training needs and price ranges, our heads are available in these versions:

• Standard: approx. 200–230 hairs per cm²
  Increased: over 230 hairs per cm²

• Reduced: approx. 150–200 hairs per cm²

Real Hair

The term “real hair” says little about its actual origin (human/animal), ethics (living donor/deceased, voluntary/forced), or quality (with/without cuticle, Remy/non-Remy, etc.).
It can be styled, dyed, curled, straightened, shampooed, and blow-dried.

We prioritize quality and transparency. Our heads with real hair use a blend of human hair and high-quality processed horsehair, making them ideal for cutting, coloring, and updos without limitations.

Head Size

In Europe, the average female head circumference ranges from 54–56 cm. Men’s heads tend to be slightly larger. We offer different head sizes to suit your training needs:

• ~49.5 cm / 19.5 inches
• ~50.5 cm / 20.0 inches
• ~52 cm / 20.5 inches
• ~54 cm / 21.2 inches
  

SlipOn system:
~53 cm / 20.8 inches

Heads with shoulders:
~55 cm / 21.6 inches

Measured around the hairline: starting just below the front hairline, over the ears and the back of the head, and back to the front.

Hair Direction, natural Fall

Hair is implanted from the crown following its natural fall. These heads are ideal for all training types and are especially recommended for haircut practice.
